Ohh, what's this rather queer contraption?
|
| So.. After revealling that I was in a magazine, I figured.. What's next? Well.. What's next is.. I've been awfully busy with school lately and now, I want to share with you, what I've been creating!
Anything else.. Well, the weather over here has been great. The last picture was taken, just a week ago! I can't say I extremely tanned yet, but it's great -and kind of weird- to have this kind of summerish weather in April! | comments: 10 comments or Leave a comment |

Oh and tomorrow, I'm gonna meet with Stephanie and at night, I'm going out with my boyfriend for the very first time! What am I to wear..!?? (I know it's ridiculously (??) superficial, but still.. It's hard! And sometimes, it's okay to be superficial)
That's all for now, I'm out. | comments: 9 comments or Leave a comment |

| | Don't you just hate it when your parents don't accept you growing into an adult and disrespecting you and your boyfriend and also keep changing the reasons why they do so. This, in combination with still living at home, don't you just hate it when this happens? | comments: 5 comments or Leave a comment |

| Finally, a new entry... It's been quite a while and this one will not really contain any useful information (at least, I don't plan on telling you anything interesting, since my life isn't that interesting these days...)
The Ultimate LiveJournal Obsession Test

There... and this next one, actually is quite accurate. Spooky!!!
The Keys to Your Heart
|
You are attracted to good manners and elegance. |
In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved. |
You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change. |
You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please. |
Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets. |
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment. |
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred. |
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily. |
Now then, back to my entry. I'm still over here in Holland, I still should study for my finals, and I still didn't do as much as I should have had... This stinks! I know these finals are teh important and I know I can't do any one of them over, since I'll be leaving to Turkey 3 days after my finals. So why aren't I as anxious as I am normally with tests and stuff. I normally have this click, I get nervous, and I just start studying. I haven't gotten the click yet!!! Beurg... That definitely sucks, because I want to do my finals great. Okay. I'm gonna stop whining about my tests and just sit down and study (the start of industrialisation in Lancashire - England, between 1750 and 1850) History. Bleh. Okay, I'm really off now.

| Yes my friends... it's good to be superstitious, because it helps out. I'm not really superstitious. I'd gladly walk under ladders and we have a black cat at home (His name is Oedipus, like the complex...). I didn't have to break a mirror because I'm just the kinda person who is so clumsy, "bad luck" comes to me, I don't have to look for it. Anyway, in this situation I was kinda superstitious.
As some (-one: snolliebollie) of you know, I'm looking for a job in Turkey for after my exams. At the moment, I'm talking to two hotels, two hotelchains and a restaurant. I give you the links to their websites and a picture of each here:
My personal favourite is Titanic. But today I had a selection day for Pure!. This is a restaurant so I'm kinda applying for a job as a waitress and (at nigt) bartendress (??). It looks cool (though you can't see pictures, because that link isn't working), it sounds cool and it was all very positive... but this really isn't what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a job in a hotel, so I can be an entertainer (like, guiding a sport, being around people, acting crazy, doing shows at night etc. etc. etc.).
Now for the superstitious part. These people called me to set a date for the "solliciting/selection-get together" and I accepted that. I could've said: "No this isn't what I'm looking for" or anything just slightly like that. I didn't. I was and am sure that if I didn't go, I wouldn't get any reactions any more from the hotels I do want to go to. I don't know if this is a saying in English, but translated from Dutch it goes like this: I don't want to request/defy the gods, so I didn't.
I came home, just now ( I had to travel 2.5 hours to get there and then 2.5 hours to get back, all that for a conversation that lasted about 30 minutes) and I look in my mailbox. An e-mail from the Riva hotels. They e-mailed me before saying they want me to come over, I told them I couldn't afford that but that I thought it'd be very favorable. In this e-mail they said that they are looking for a ticket so I can come and stay with them for like a long weekend :D Woohoo! And all that because I didn't defy the gods!
So now, I'm tired and happy because I did what I had to do, and also I made a real Marettish Update and therefore, I look like this: Speak soon y'all.
edit: I deleted the LJ-cut because LJ isn't working with me and it's driving me nuts. I'll show pictures and websites of the hotels another time soon :D | comments: 8 comments or Leave a comment |

| Wow, it's been a while. Let me think what can I tell y'all at this update... Oh I can tell you about this Dutch holiday, but it isn't a real holiday, I think. :) Nice, it starts like a really Maret-update rightaway!
Where to start. It's called "Carnaval" but at http://babel.altavista.com, they translate it to english as "carnival"... I myself would explain it as:

| Noo.. not that Turkey! I'm talking about the country. After my exams this year, I want to go to Turkey, my first preference is to work there as entertainer in a hotel. It's quite hard, for a job. 6 days a week, and you're busy from 8 am to 0 am. (midnight?!). But I think it seems great to do. You get to guide a sport be among people, talking to them, you meet loads of nationalities and you get to be crazy and get paid for it. IT IS REALLY HARD TO FIND SUCH A JOB FROM ALL THE WAY OVER HERE! Why do I want to go to Turkey? Well, Spain is on its way out, last year, over a third of its hotels was completely empty for THE WHOLE SEASON, Italy doesn't appeal to me to work there, England is too cold, the US is too far away, for doing something like this for the very first time and last, I've been to Turkey last Summer and if you are in a good hotel, you're in. That's just plain awesome. For your idea, go here: http://www.wowhotels.com . That's where I've been. Awesome, it's like you're in a fairytale. For some reason, it's really hard to find a job over there. With me, it's extra hard, because I can't go there until mid-season (because of my exams). That's why no hotel can seem to promise me anything. But just now, I got an e-mail from dutch people, who run a clubby restaurant (or... a club that turns into a dancing club at 22.00 (10 pm). It seems really cool,so I'm curious what it's about. Hopefully they can offer me a job. That'd be great, I'm still in Turkey, bút dutch people, also mean dutch salary (or at least, more like it ;)) and... it's more secure and safe to work for dutch people than for turkish people (no offence, it just is.) Uff what a story... Just for the finishing touch. A picture of a Turkey, since that's what I started with:

| As myself and Snolliebollie are in the room, I decide to:
1. Give everybody evidence that me and snolliebollie are friends (or at least, in one room together;) jk)
2. Give a completely useless report about this evening.
Here's number 1.
And number 2 also has to do with snolliebollie. First of all, she's here this evening, which is loads of fun, watching the o.c., we're cramping everybody's style, laughing at a picture of snollie's niece, laughing at me for not being very good at speaking Dutch, and so on. The best quotes from the Gilmore Girls, this evening: "A lap is an illusion" and "kiss the mommy".
Me talking dutch, well it's quite hard to explain in English, but I'll try anyway. There's a verb, which in dutch is "volstoppen" (to stuff somebody with food), and what I wanted to say was: "Ik ga je volstoppen ..." (I'm gonna stuff you with food tonight) and what I said was: "Ik ga je stopvollen"... Okay when I'm typing this stuff down, it's not even close to funny... Silly enough, I got to laugh about it at least 5 times!!
Erm... Also, every anxious to know whether or not I get to be in the sexification community :) The responses so far are funny (which is good!) We'll see about it, I have to go to bed soon!!
Bye for now :) | comments: 16 comments or Leave a comment |
